When we did these test, there were some specific things we had to consider or try to modify in order to get the most accurate results. These include:
Height: We had to make sure we took our shoes off and to stand up straight to get our correct height. Also using a tape measure is not the most accurate as there can be bends in the tape.
Weight - To get the most accurate weight for myself I had to make sure I didn't have anything in my pockets when I got weighed, and also that the scales were on a flat surface.
Grip Strength - To test my grip strength I used a dynamometer, with using this I had to ensure the dynamometer was calibrated correctly and that I used the correct techniques.
Vertical Jump Power - In doing the vertical jump test I had to consider things such as the ground may not be level, or that I may have eaten right before testing which would affect my results.
Aerobic Fitness - Some of the issues with conducting the beep test would be the environment that we conducted the test in, as the ground could have been wet so I might have slipped, it may have been too hot or too cold, or the ground may not have even been level. I also had to ensure I was healthy and not worn out from training the previous night to get my best result.
Sprint Speed - The issue with my sprint speed testing was that we used stopwatches and phones to record the time, this testing may have been inaccurate as the person recording's reaction time to when I actually crossed the line may take off a second or two from my correct results. Testing would have been more accurate if we had the correct equipment, such as the light gates.
